Episode 118 is absolutely loaded with content. We begin things with an interview Dave conducted with Josh and Pepper, hosts of The Altered Angle Podcast. The three guys discuss a whole slew of topics such as Battleground, Raw, Smackdown Live, the CWC and so much more. With so much going on with WWE the past couple of weeks, this interview is a great way for three pro wrestling Podcasters to recap and analyze for all of you all the action of a historic couple of weeks for WWE, NXT and pro wrestling in general.

It is then on to our Battleground ’16 review. By now most everyone knows the outcome of the latest WWE PPV. But for those who don’t, we recap it all for you from Sasha Bank’s mystery partner to the Shield Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship. Battleground may, indeed, have been a transitional PPV, but it was also a quality PPV. We let you know why in our review here on Episode 118.

It is then on to the first Monday Night Raw after the Draft and Battleground. With the WWE Championship going to Smackdown Live, Raw needed a Championship of their own. This, the WWE Universal Championship has been born. Eight top competitors would square off in two separate Fatal Four Way matches and the winners of those two matches would go one on one in Raw’s Main Event. The winner of that would face Seth Rollins, at Summer Slam, to be crowned the first ever WWE Universal Champion. Sheamus, Rusev, Finn Balor, Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns would battle it out for the right to face Seth Rollins at Summer Slam. Who emerged victorious? We let you in on all the details. Plus, Sasha Banks finally got what she wanted, a one on one match with Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship. Could The Boss break through and take the title from Charlotte? We let you know on Episode 118.

We then rap things up by reviewing the first post-draft edition of Smackdown Live. Taking a page from Raw’s playbook, Smackdown Live came up with a unique way to determine who would face Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship at Summer Slam: A 6 pack challenge match. John Cena, AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, and Bray Wyatt were selected for this match with a sixth spot being left to the winner of a 20-man Battle Royal. Who would win the Battle Royal to capture the sixth spot? More importantly, who prevailed in the 6-pack challenge to earn the right to face Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship at Summer Slam? Randy Orton returned to action against The Miz while Becky Lynch tried to get a win back against Natalaya. How did everything play out? We let you know on Episode 118.

And please stay tuned at the end of the Episode as we share an exclusive clip the guys at the DWI Podcast sent us where Frankie DeFalco shares a great story about the one and only Andre The Giant.
