69 dudes!

Lost amidst the unsurprising sexual innuendo for Episode 69, we here at the Attitude Of Aggression Wrestling Podcast get you ready for the upcoming week of action by reviewing all that went down last week…which is what we do for you Aggressionaholics each week. This past week saw all the fallout from the Royal Rumble and there was a lot of it. We start things off by reviewing the Raw after the Rumble. Triple H is the new WWE World Heavyweight Chasmpion. What did he have in store for the former champ, Roman Reigns. And what Main Event was announced for FastLane, the winner of which will go on to WrestleMania 32 to challenge The Game for the belt? Plus we review all the big matches from Raw, including the Dream Match between AJ Styles and Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler, and Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch. Oh, and not to be forgotten, what electrifying legend returned to Raw to lay the smack down on the New Day? We have those answers for you on Episode 69.

We then move on to NXT which saw a huge Triple Threat Match between Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and Samoa Joe to determine the new #1 contender for Finn Balor’s NXT Championship. We recap this match for you and discuss the controversial ending which raised more questions than it answered. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable have re-dubbed themselves American Alpha. Would the name change effect their in-ring performance? And what forgotten NXT star, and former announcer, made a surprisingly impressive return this past week? We discuss all this for you on Episode 69.

It is then on to Smackdown. Who would become the first victim of the Styles Clash on WWE TV? And, for a while now, we have been clamoring for a Neville vs Kalisto match. We finally got it this past week…and the US Championship was on the line. Would the match live up top expectations and, more importantly, who prevailed? Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose were on Miz TV and with tensions rising leading into FastLane, how would the two brothers in arms handle the revelations about the main event for February’s PPV? We are definitely on the Road to WrestleMania and that is a recurrent theme on Episode 69.

We then go Back To The Front with our latest installment of our review and analysis of the Monday Night War. We are at October 2, 1995 and while Nitro was having an epic match between Lex Luger and the “Macho Man” Randy Savage…with Luger’s career potentially on the line…Raw was countering with a match between Razor Ramon and the 1-2-3 Kid that would devolve into as multi-fall match with a dominant outcome for one of the men. Raw would also show the tag team of PG-13 and a rematch from In Your House between Bret “The Hitman” Hart and Jean Pierre Lefitte, while Nitro would oppose them with Eddie Guerrero vs Dean Malenko nd a rematch from Fall Brawl ’95 between “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Arn Anderson. It looks pretty lopsided on paper. What did the guys think about the two shows as both promotions moved closer to their October 1995 PPVs?

We then close down a monster sized Episode 69 (pun intended) by debuting a new segment of the show. Lucha Underground is all the rage right now, having just debuted the first Episode of Season 2. But if you are like us, and are a bit late to the party, then we invite you to join us as we recap and review Season 1 of Lucha Underground (LU). We start things off by looking at Episode 1 of this phenomenal series. We get to meet Dario Cueto, the main promoter for LU, and we find out the reasons why he has invited the worlds’ best fighters into his temple to compete. In action, we get to see Blue Demon Jr. vs Chavo Guerrero in the first match ever for LU. We also get to meet Sexy Star, a female luchador who jumps into the ring with Son of Havoc and shows that the women of LU are not Divas but are kick-ass competitors out to prove they can hang with the guys. We then get the main event between Johnny Mundo (formerly known as John Morrison) vs Prince Puma (also known as Ricochet). Who prevailed in this great main event? We let you know as we get to see just what makes Lucha Underground so special.
