After setting an incredible pace in the first two episodes of Season 3 of House of the Dragon, episode 3 is much slower-paced, much more deliberate, and equally as compelling as the other episodes. Rhaenyra has finally assumed control of the Iron Throne. But with great power comes great responsibility, and Rhaenyra finds this out the hard way in this episode. The new Queen faces issues on all sides as she discovers the kingdom is broke, the Faith will not acknowledge her, the small folk are on the verge of starvation, and Daemon is imploring her to take the world by force and, if necessary, dragon fire. Even in victory, there is a price to be paid, and Rhaenyra discovers that truth in yet another excellent episode of House of the Dragon!
