After a long hiatus and wrestling with whether to even release all the stuff recorded during Takeover and Summer Slam weekend, the decision was made that there was some really good stuff recorded and though it may be a bit dated, we are releasing the content over the next few days.

The first of these releases is out NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III Blowout Episode. This is an Episode that tells the story of the Road to Takeover, previews the third annual event in Brooklyn, and then reviews the show…all in one Episode.

We begin with Big Dave recapping the events that took place on NXT on July 19th and the 26th, and also on August 2, 9th, and 16th. Along the way, Dave also reviews the NXT House Show that took place in Bakersfield on August 10th. Highlights of these episodes of NXT included Ember Moon vs Ruby Riot (July 19), Drew McIntyre vs Killian Dane to determine who would get the shot at the NXT Championship in Brooklyn (July 19), Zelina Vega showing up as Andrade “Cien” Almas’ business manager (July 26th), Hideo Itami vs Kassius Ohno (July 26th), Alestair Black vs Kyle O’Reilly (August 2), No Way Jose vs Cien Almas (August 9), Bobby Roode vs Drew McIntyre (August 10 House Show), Hideo Itami vs Alestair Black (August 10 House Show), the contract signing for the NXT Women’s Championship match (August 16), and Roderick Strong vs Drew McIntyre (August 16). All that plus all the great side stories that led into Takeover: Brooklyn III.

Dave then previews NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III. How did Dave end up doing and what were his thoughts about how the biggest NXT event of the year would turn out? You can check that out here on Episode 206.

We then close things out with the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III Review show. For this segment of the Episode, Dave is joined by PC Tunney and Chris Platt of the DWI Wrestling Podcast as they recap and analyze the events that went down in Brooklyn on August 19, 2017. What did they think of Cien Almas upsetting Johnny Gargano? What did they think of the Authors of Pain’s unbeaten streak ending? Where does Alestair Black go after silencing Hideo Itami? What does the future hold for Asuka and the NXT Women’s division? Bobby Roode dropped the title and went to Smackdown Live while Drew McIntyre was crowned NXT Champion…just in time for a Ring of Honor invasion. The guys offer up thoughts on all of this.   As the review took place almost a week after the event, the guys tie in topics such as Mayweather vs McGregor, Asuka’s vacating of the NXT Women’s Championship, and Bobby Roode’s main roster call up. It is all here on Episode 206, our NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III Blowout!
