We then review Smackdown from last Thursday, June 2, 2016. Smackdown saw an excellent Main Event as AJ Styles, fresh off his betrayal of John Cena, tangled with Kofi Kingston. With members of The Club and The New Day at ringside, what could go wrong, right? Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn teamed up to take on Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens while Charlotte renewed her rivalry with Becky Lynch. How did things all play out? We let you know on Episode 104.
In our Twitter Versed segment we look at all the big news in the world of pro wrestling from the past week and there was no bigger news story than the stunning announcement that Brock Lesnar would return to the Octagon at UFC 200 to face Mark Hunt. We offer our thoughts and opinions on this momentous announcement and what it might mean for the WWE and UFC moving forward.
We then close things down by returning to the front-lines of the Monday Night War as we review Raw v. Nitro from November 6, 1995, Raw featured the British Bulldog going up against Marty Jannetty and also saw a big tag team match pitting Bret “Hitman” Hart and Hakushi against Isaac Yankem and Jerry “The King” Lawler. Nitro countered with Eddie Guerrero vs Chris Benoit and a grudge match between Sting and “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Nitro also had a big announcement as to the status of the WCW World Championship.
