For Episode 120, Dave recaps the big events from the Red and Blue Brands that took place last week.

On Raw, we got to see the first in ring confrontation, of sorts, between the two guys vying for the WWE Universal Championship at Summer Slam, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins. Would there be any fireworks between the two? A new, and very formidable, challenger emerged to potentially stake his claim to Rusev’s United States Championship. Why should the Bulgarian Brute be very concerned about this “guy”? The new Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks, was having her problems with the former champ, Charlotte, and Chris Jericho. Who showed up to help even the odds? The New Day’s problems with Gallows & Anderson got bigger and more physical. Why might the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history be in some definite trouble here? Lastly, Brock Lesnar returned to Raw as he and Paul Heyman began to build up The Beast’s match against Randy Orton at Summer Slam. What happened at the end of Raw that caught many by surprise, but should have probably been expected?

Meanwhile, over on Smackdown Live, the WWE Champion, Dean Ambrose, called out the #1 contender to his title, Dolph Ziggler, to “discuss” the title match at Summer Slam. The two guys tried to convince the other of how hard they had both worked to get to where they are. At the end of everything, another member of the Smackdown roster laid out Dolph and challenged him for the right to face Dean at Summer Slam. Who was this person and, more importantly, would Dolph actually accept? A Triple Threat match took place between Baron Corbin, Apollo Crews and Kalisto to determine who would face The Miz at Summer Slam for the Intercontinental Championship. Who emerged victorious to gain a big opportunity at the summer’s biggest event? And with tensions boiling over between Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton, what sorts of craziness were we in store for as, apparently, the Brand Split is irrelevant as far as these two are concerned.

It is then the return of our The Great Beyond segment as Dave reviews The Rise and Fall of ECW documentary available in the Beyond The Ring segment of the Network. From its’ beginnings as Eastern Championship Wrestling, to its evolution into the most extreme form of hardcore wrestling the industry has ever seen, the rise of ECW, and its’ eventual collapse, is the stuff of legend. Dave reviews this fantastic documentary and recaps the highlights and, in some cases, the low lights, of one of the true must watch documentaries available on the WWE Network.

All this and more are right here on Episode 120.
