We begin with Episode 161. This Episode begins with a look at Raw from January 23, 2017.  Seth Rollins took on Sami Zayn with a twist: The winner would be in the Royal Rumble while the loser would be out. What stunning turn of events took place to reshape the landscape of the Royal Rumble? Roman Reigns invoked his rematch clause to challenge Chris Jericho for the United States Championship. Could Roman reclaim the title that Jericho and Kevin Owens stole from him a couple of weeks ago? Corey Graves took time to talk to Bayley and Charlotte prior to their Raw Women’s Title match at the Rumble. Meanwhile, Sasha Banks looked for a bit of payback against Nia Jax. Goldberg returned to Raw to talk about the Rumble. What epic moment did we see at the end of Raw that really set the stage for the Rumble? We let you know on Episode 161.

From there, we review NXT from January 25, 2017, the go-home show for Takeover: San Antonio. Ember Moon and Liv Morgan went to battle, with each looking to gain momentum. No Way Jose battled Kona Reeves while Eric Young made a statement to Tye Dillinger in his match with Chris Atkins. NXT concluded with Peyton Royce, Billie Kaye, Nikki Cross and Asuka all facing off in the ring. Things broke down quickly. Who was left standing after the dust settled? We let you know on Episode 161.

From there, Dave is joined by Rick Lachney of the newly launched 2 Man Band Podcast, as they preview NXT Takeover: San Antonio. Will Tye Dillinger finally break through against Eric Young? Can Roderick Strong beat back the challenge of Andrade “Cien” Almas? Can DIY derail the freight train that is the Authors of Pain and retain their NXT Tag Team Titles? With the odds stacked against her, can Asuka remain undefeated and retain her NXT Women’s Championship? And, in the Main Event, would San Antonio be glorious for Bobby Roode or would Shinsuke Nakamura prevail and remain the NXT Champion? Dave and Rick let you know their thoughts on Episode 161.
